  1. Several years ago I sat next to our CEO during an HR presentation.
    HR said. “The problem we face is that our people are living longer. That forces heath care costs. No body has answers.”
    I raised my hand. “If people living longer is the problem let’s kill them.”
    He chastised me.
    The CEO raised his hand and spoke to the HR guy. “You’re the one to make the stupid statement. The gentleman here was the only one to notice it and call you out on it. You should be thanking him.”
