and to think I like bananas. Good list.
Thanks, I try to mix it up a bit so there’s something for everyone.
Tricky things those bananas though, and they’re also one of the most radio active fruits. In fact there is a measure of radioactivity that is bananas – the BED or banana equivalent dose is a nonstandard unit of radiation exposure.
I have no idea how I know that – and this is the first time it’s ever been useful 🙂
Thank you for reaffirming why I love Daniel Craig!
A real man!
Isn’t it ridiculous the amount of waste to cut down a tree in the DMZ?
Thanks for the comment. I’m glad you picked that one out. The whole thing was called Operation Paul Bunyan and it happened in the mid 1970s after two US Army officers who had been part of a work party tasked with cutting down the tree were murdered by the North Koreans.
A few days later the U.S. and South Korea launched Operation Paul Bunyan to finish cutting down the tree, but really as a show of force to intimidate North Korea into backing down, which it did and also accepted responsibility for the earlier killings. A bit over the top perhaps but it got the job done and sent the right message.
Interesting facts! Good illustrations too.
Thank you.
