Much better this week – fourteen! (Well, I took your gift on the first one, as I knew the country but not the gent.) Of course, as a Trekkie, I’m only at 50%, because I did get the “beam me up” question but missed Whoopi Goldberg’s (Guinan on TNG) name. Phooey! 😉

Not bad today I got 10 out of 20. I knew basketball was invented in Canada, I knew 3 strikes was called a turkey, I knew dead skin cells made up a lot of dust, Davy Crockett was at the Alamo, I thought the time displayed on watches was 1:50 (because it outlines the name of the manufacturer at the top), I knew about Apollo 17, a toilet being called a head, Montreal being the second largest French speaking city & safe drinking water being potable.
Much better than ‘not bad’! Well done.
I think I should grab an extra point for the clock time because this originated with Timex (the watch that takes a licking & keeps on ticking). They explained why they used 1:50 as the time & I have just never paid attention since.
