Hey, I’ve met several dogs who don’t speak English. Huskies are some of the best speakers of human languages! Now, COMPREHENSION, that’s a different story altogether. Many police dogs are taught in German, using a specific “method”. So if you learn certain German phrases, you might be able to get the dog off your tail! And beware of Cattle Dogs – they not only comprehend words, but also spelling. Ours knew that “out” meant he was going immediately, “o-u-t” meant we needed to get ready to take him out, and “o-w-t” meant we were talking about taking him out EVENTUALLY. The little SOB knew all three! 😯 😀
